Any word on the NR homebrew disc?

I was wondering if there was any news about the disc of homebrew emu_kidd was planning on making for NR readers.

Did the project die due to cost or lack of interest?
Playing betas is fun, but it would be nice if my nr cube had a bit more functionality.

It's in the pipeline, just have other, more important things to get out there.

Also, I'm still getting the hardware together to write NR discs (I have the writer, just need the pci->scsi and cables)

Do the apps have to be recompiled for NR gamecubes or do standard apps work?

standard will work with the exception of apps that patch the drive to read dvd-r, those will not work.

like emu said. it's all about reading it from somewhere. technically it's still a gamecube!
