I'm using an NTSC Gamecube and with it I'm forcing PAL (576i) for a NTSC retail Super Smash Bros. Melee disc via Swiss and it leads me to this question:
Is the Gamecube running in 60hz at this point since its a NTSC game and a NTSC system? or is it running in 50hz?

Re: NTSC Cube Forcing PAL (576i) via Swiss Question
Are you using a component cable? Composite or s-video will tell you immediately whether 50hz is working.
NTSC systems don't encode PAL color, and will turn black and white at 50hz. (I've tested this on the XRGB framemeister)

Yeah, I'm using component cables. I found out that PAL display is 50hz so it turns out its 50hz. Still neat though.theclaw wrote:Are you using a component cable? Composite or s-video will tell you immediately whether 50hz is working.
