Rip GC games with CleanRip 2.00 problem.

Post by Famicom25 » Tue Jan 06, 2015 8:26 pm

Hello,
I don't know if this is right section to post this topic. But anyway.

I have a wii rvl-101 white made in 2011 with firmware 4.3E.
I have tried to rip a gc game but it keep ejecting the gc disk.
Does this mean this model of wii can't read gc disks?
Why gamecube's disks can't be read?

But I was able to rip a normal wii game.

Regards

This is the "Family Edition" Wii console which has a drive that will reject GameCube discs. You can modify the drive to accept the discs, have a search around (not necessarily on this forum) for a solution, or find yourself a RVL-001. It's a hardware mechanism that is made to reject the GameCube sized discs so there isn't anything I can do from CleanRip to help you.

As emu_kidid said, RVL-101 had no legitimate reason to read GC discs.
They would be unplayable without homebrew due to no controller ports.
