how to flash Xecuter 2.6 CE without programmer

My son and I got back from too many games convention with 2 xboxs. One had a surprise inside a Xecuter 2.6 CE but it wasn't working so I removed the chip and found out that the chip is blank and I have no programmer so is that a way to program this Modchip because from what I heard this chip can support LCD screen! So I would really like to get this working. Any help would be appreciated

So softmod with Modchip out then run hexen tool and connect Modchip then try to flash? It says it has 2 banks so can I run 2 bios

You don't have too, softmod the Xbox and use flashbios to flash it, you can flash it from hard drive or dvd. Plenty of nice tutorials still around. Nice modchip you got for free. Gratz.

Yeah, plug it in after the console has booted up but before any homebrew is run.

Why is it blank though, are you sure it's not a dead flash?

It should have the option for 2x 512k BIOS, dip switch selectable, if I'm not mistaken, are they both blank?

I might be dealing with a dead chip I won't know till tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it working I got lights on the controller but the dumbass that installed it before pinched the wires going to the remote. I'm going to fix all the wires then install in my newly TSOP flashed 1.2 Xbox then flash. Well that's the plan.

I ripped the ram out of the 1.0 Xbox and there a little different same numbers besides the 1.0 one has a M and the 1.2 has a F that won't cause any incapability will it?

If the Xbox booted fine with the modchip in it and it doesn't anymore now, that you removed it, the chip was working fine. Only with a modded bios flashed on the chip, you can boot an unlocked drive on an xbox with the original MS bios, if I remember it correctly. So the 2.6 it's working, that's nice!

You need to hotswap with another modchip, if you boot with onboard bios (tsoped or softmod) then you can't flash a modchip.

Great that's all I got right now is a 1.2 xbox TSOP flashed with IND-BIOS

You can install the modchip on the tsop flashed Xbox, turn the x2.6 off with the dipswitch and boot from the tsop, once the hacked dashboard is running, turn the modchip on and start flashbios it should let you flash the xecuter in that way.

Cool thank you when I get setup a bit I will install the modchip I have it removed already and in a antistatic bag. I must rewire the connector that goes to the remote first then find some pinheaders I know I have some around. This is the reason I need to clean

The d0 point should let you switch from tsop flashing to chip flashing and viceversa, if disconnected, your flash program should see the tsop chip, if connected the modchip one, just double check which nand the flasher discover before flashing. I have done this a couple of time, back in the days, to do the reverse operation you are trying, flash the tsop while booting from a modchip and it worked no problem. If someone remembers it differently please correct me, it was a long time ago and maybe I remember it wrong.
