So remember those cheap-ass knock off gamecube controllers? Apparently there are now also wavebird clones, which ironically supports rumble!
I have been waiting for a controller with the exact same dimensions as the wavebird; so I can transplant its pcb in a wavebird keeping quality buttons/sticks/feel and with rumble support.
Does anyone have any experinece with these? Would be interesting to see if they come down in price when more people offer them. Also would be interesting to see the tech inside and if the recreivers work with wavebirds as well.
Edit: not entirely sure about the rumble support; alibaba.com clones ention rumble, but none of the ebay listings so far.
Anyway, here is the link:

Well, they would be great to replace broken controller cases and such, but I have the bad feeling you won't get your original pcb into that one. Even if the outside match, the inside could be pretty much different so the pcb doesn't fit or don't line-up like you want it to.
But: Should you get one and it works fine, then I'll get one of those as well

Yes the pcb might give troubles bit it might be easily resolved (if it only rumble and/or batterie placement) knowing that the buttons are all already in the right place.
Might jump on this in a few weeks and if I do I'll let you guys know.

I have just received mine.
There is no rumble.
There is no problem to transfer the pcb in a true wavebird. I did it. Everything works. The on/off switch is just a bit harder but it works.

Yes, no rumble basically makes me loose interest. I asked the seller and s/he said it didn't supportb it, forgot to inform you guys in this thread.

I imagined it would be like that. Why can't those stupid fake makers for once make good controllers?

Nintendo still makes GC controllers anyway. They're not wireless but still as good as they get.

Yeah, sure, the new smash ones. But I think they probably just made a batch or two and that's it.
