GCFTP
GCFTP
GCFTP is a ftp server for the Nintendo Gamecube coded by me back in 2007 which will allow users to read/write memory cards, read DVD's (entire or files inside), and dump RAM over the BBA. This application was coded before SD support was via libFAT so there is no SD card browsing implemented. It can dump DVD's with speeds of 1.6mb/s to 2.3mb/s (less than 20 minutes).

Re: GCFTP
does this programm also support the ide/exi adapter?
Re: GCFTP
Since he made this way back in 2007 and hasn't touched it since, I think it's fairly safe to assume it does not support IDE-EXI.

Re: GCFTP
ok, does maybe anybody work on it?
Re: GCFTP
Nope, it's severely outdated and pretty messy at that
Re: GCFTP
would you mind releasing the source code? regardless of its quality, it'd be useful and prevent the reinventing of a couple of wheels
Re: GCFTP
You'd be better off taking a Wii FTP server and backporting that to GameCube tbh.
Re: GCFTP
I've tried to get this working but I can't get the folders to appear. On Filezilla it says waiting for welcome message and on GCFTP it says awaiting command. This is as far as I can go.
Does it have the ability to see the SD2SP2? I would just use the FTP server in Swiss itself but it doesn't work at all. How is there no reliable up to date FTP option for Gamecube in 2024??
My Gamecube and network adaptor are PAL.

Re: GCFTP
There is no FTP server in Swiss, only a FTP client. This program is over a decade older than the SD2SP2.
Re: GCFTP
That would explain a lot. Had a feeling it would be something to do with the SD2SP2.
Are there any plans to add an FTP server to Swiss? I know it wouldn't be used by many people but it'd be super useful for weirdos like myself that have a broadband adaptor
For example atm I'm messing with the GBI .cli files trying to get something to work and every time I wanna test the DOL I have to get off my arse, turn off the gc, take out the SD, plug it into my Laptop, mess with the cli, put it back into gc, sit down on the sofa and see that it didn't work then repeat until I get back ache. For use cases like that I'd love an FTP server in Swiss so much

Re: GCFTP
You could use the built-in wiiload server instead.
Example usage:
Example usage:
Code: Select all
WIILOAD=<GC IP> wiiload gbi.dol gbi.dol --aspect=4:3 --overlay=frame-srgb.tpl.gz --dither=none --profile=srgb --contrast=.78125 --sound=original --no-osd
