Currently struggling with running swiss from dvd.
I put the swiss disc into the ngc and to check if the dvd is actually burnt as should I go into bios and look at the disc loading. It says Swiss by emukidid etc, but when I press start to load swiss it just stops at a black screen...
This happens both with and without sd gecko.
Any ideas? My WKF parts are still in china, and it takes some time..
Used PAL iso on a PAL gc.
EDIT:
Fixed it somewhat. Took an ISO i already had (ocarina of time multipack) and replaced the dol.
Seems like the iso that came with swiss wouldn't work (even with fstfix).
gctool is a nice tool indeed.

the game
Re: black screen on booting swiss
Don't use the NTSC ISO, use a nightly build ISO from megalomaniac.

Probably should've used the nightly iso, but just fyi, I used the pal one ;)emu_kidid wrote:Don't use the NTSC ISO, use a nightly build ISO from megalomaniac.
It works now though, just gotta see if I can fix the page size error (probably due to sd being fat and not fat32, who knows?

Re: black screen on booting swiss
to further clarify the statement from emu_kidid, do not use the r174 NTSC or NTSC-J iso

Re: black screen on booting swiss
I did all my testing on r174 ntsc and it seemed to work fine for me?
