Hey Guys!
What's the best and cheapest way to get the sharpest picture quality from gamecube:
1. nintendont on the wii with wiitohdmi adapter
2. gamecube plug n play hdmi
Does forcing 480p on swiss give a sharper picture?
Cheers!
Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
Re: Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
The Wii will be slightly cheaper but it's not the real thing. Picture quality is the same.
Re: Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
Could probably get a wiiU for the price of a wii + hdmi adapter.
Re: Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
GCVideo DVI/HDMI will give the best quality, but don't buy zeldaxpro's plug-and-fry.
Yes.cpjarrod wrote:Does forcing 480p on swiss give a sharper picture?
Not in 480p. Unless using the Wii version of GCVideo.Streetwalker wrote:The Wii will be slightly cheaper but it's not the real thing. Picture quality is the same.

Yeah I've heard of the plug and fry feature

Would be interested in installing the mod but don't have any soldering skills unfortunately.
Tried forcing 480p but just makes the picture worse.
So the wii and gamecube composite offers the same picture quality? I guess buying the cheap wii to hd would be the best solution without mods?
Re: Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
You need component/HDMI for 480p.cpjarrod wrote:Tried forcing 480p but just makes the picture worse.
Wii composite is better, but Wii component is worse in 480p. They're equal using GCVideo DVI/HDMI.cpjarrod wrote:So the wii and gamecube composite offers the same picture quality?
Those are just component video converters, only consider using those if you only have HDMI inputs.cpjarrod wrote:I guess buying the cheap wii to hd would be the best solution without mods?

Yeah my bad, just re-read I thought it was composite cables that were required.Extrems wrote:You need component/HDMI for 480p.cpjarrod wrote:Tried forcing 480p but just makes the picture worse.Wii composite is better, but Wii component is worse in 480p. The only problem is the compoment video cables are real expensive aren't they? Has anyone reverse engineered any?
Re: Getting the best picture quality from the gamecube
Yes, it's called GCVideo.
