Remote Startup for Gamecube?

Hey guys!
New here, I was wondering if there was a mod for remotely starting up the Gamecube from across the room?
I gather that the Gamecube uses an analog button to start up the system, but I think that it would be really cool to be able to start up the Gamecube from across the room using a remote control of some kind. Pairing this up with a WiiKeyFusion would also be really cool and make the Gamecube feel like a Wii with menus and everything!

Well, you could keep the gamecube on "ON" and use a remote control power plug.

I was thinking of tapping the power wire with an inline switcher but that is a much better idea
