GBP Start-Up Disc Japan useful?

Yello!

Before I check out GBI I wanted to see what the official is like

Region-free here, Xeno chipped. Should I seek the Japanese Start-Up disc as I am not bilingual?

Why the heck would you bother getting a japanese version of something when:
1. You're not able to understand such language.
2. You can get one in your own language.

Apart from a collector's point of view, there are no reasons to do so, first, your GC can run any region disc, and the GBP hardware is region free (only its disc isn't), second, Swiss is now able to run the GBP boot disc ISO from an SD card, so you can judge wether you need it, or better go with GBI. Guess what's my guess?

GBI thanx just now I tested US start-up disc burnt get the progressive scan prompt enable and red screen of death error >.<

Try to run it from SWISS, off an SD card, maybe you have a bad ISO.
I had no problem runnig the euro ISO on my Gamecube (Stock GC, Not tried 480p BTW).

Few games really need to be burnt on discs to run well. Always double check your ISO is clean before burning, either way.
