Possibility to test GC Modem

Post by sumas » Sat Mar 12, 2011 11:09 pm

Hi Guys,

I get a broken Cube with two modems.
Is there any possibility to test them?

If one of them is broken i would make a Viper Extrme Extention with it.
Replace the Modem Board and fix the extrme boar in it.

regards,
SuMa5

Alte Platine raus neue USB Platine rein.

Gruß,
SuMa5

56k modem or BBA? Either can be tested with a simple DOL which grabs the EXI ID. If they're BBA's, try a disc dumper like GCOM.

or just throw PSO in and try to connect :) no idea if the modem was used for anything else than that....

i wouldnt try it with pso its just wasting your time and money.

1. the servers were shut down a long time ago so you wouldnt get any connection
2. you need to pay when you try to connect and just after this step you can be realy shure that the modem works correct.

IF PSO realizes there's a "modem" to setup, then I'd say it works, really, really, don't bother trying it any further unless you're made of spare time to waste.

sumas, trying to find a "faulty" 56k modem is probably harder than a working one :P why not just use the cover for the port that's on the bottom of the GC already?

The normal cover i cuted out for the usb, and paited it black.

But on the cover there is no TOP and the connector of the modem is much better than from the viper board ^^
so lets but it me in a 56k modem.

just a little DIY Project.

do you know bob the builder?
Bob der Baumeister
and the slogan : Can we do it?
Können wir das schaffen
Yes we can.
JO wir schaffen dass.

How is it origal expression?
Like my stupid translation?
