Disc reading error

So D01-001 was not reading discs, I adjusted laser and still not good, So I swapped the optical drive from my working GameCube to my bad one, and still would not read disc, Disc spins and laser try’s to find disc but stops spinning and gets error, Any ideas on what is going on?

you may be with some alternatives:

1 you must adjust the laser again for the new reader...
2 your disk is not good

3 drive capacitor pack must be replaced

Wrong region of disc for the system? What portion of the drive did you swap exactly?
