HI,
As the title states, if I run the ISO of Xeno Crisis I am unable to use any button combinations to do an in game reset. All the regular gamecube games I have are in NKIT.ISO and I don't recall any not resetting.
I'm using the latest version of Swiss (v0.6r1622) on a PAL gamecube (forced to NTSC) with a CGLoader with latest formware (2.0.1).
Not sure if I'm missing a setting or if IGR just doesnt work with Xeno Crisis?
I did some searching and I couldn't find a topic wth this issue, so if there is any other info I can provide, please let me know!
Cheers!
In Game Reset works, but not for Xeno Crisis
Re: In Game Reset works, but not for Xeno Crisis
Nothing works with Xeno Crisis as it is homebrew/unlicensed software.

Gotcha, Thanks for confirming!
Re: In Game Reset works, but not for Xeno Crisis
For anyone lurking and wondering "why not just support it lmao" - it's homebrew. It doesn't use the official SDKs, so its implementations of functions are different. It's like trying to patch Windows 10 with code written for Linux Mint.

How did you manage to get the game to run? I downloaded a CISO version of it and converted it to ISO but I get a black screen when launching it in Swiss.Lamprey wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 11:10 pmHI,

Re: In Game Reset works, but not for Xeno Crisis
The In-Game Reset (IGR) likely doesn’t work with Xeno Crisis because it’s a homebrew game with non-standard code or ISO structure, which Swiss v0.6r1622’s IGR patches (designed for retail NKit.ISO games) can’t hook into. Its standalone ISO format, custom input handling, or NTSC-forcing on a PAL console may prevent the standard IGR combo (D-Pad Down + R + Z + B) from triggering. No specific setting appears missing, as IGR works for your other games. Mapquest Directions
