The upside-down ribbon cable helped out afterall - mounted on the heatsink with some super-adhesive hi-temperature double sided "goo" :)

This switch is only for the time being, I plan to add some toggle switches later.

My Digital-Camera was stolen by theif, so I can only show this by my cell phone camera. I misconnected the ribbon to the DVD side, as you can see in the picture , when I took these photos.

I actually soldered the adapter under the mainboard by making two holes to pass the wires through in the gnd section of the edge of the mainboard.

Nice pictures,everyone. So what is the compatibility rate for games? I think I saw that it wasn't too good but hopefully I'm mistaken.

Compatibility seems to be 100% on boards that the wiikey works on. It seems at the moment that some very early revision GC motherboards don't like the Wiikey and the compatibility is less than 5% on those boards as far as I can tell. It seems to be a timing issue though and may be fixable.

Audiostreaming games work. But the actual audio streaming does not.

Where did you get that case? It looks factory made.

Also, you have MASSIVE hands! You make the gamecube look handheld. How are you able to do such fine soldering?
