Hey all,
since a lot of people are asking for a second batch of the adapters:
WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN BUYING ONE?
For all of you who already got one: Please don't vote if you don't plan on buying a second one, thanks

please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

I'm not here to vote on much I simply wanted to say that while wode ect are nice solutions they require quite a bit of soldering and frankly a large number of people aren't able to do so as long as compatability in swiss continues to improve as I know it will I see no reason why people wouldn't want an easy ready made plug and play backup loading device.

ok I can very much agree there. Not to mention the uses the offers for homebrew purposes. don't know about you guys but I hate network shares.... and discs just cant hold everything you want...

+1, connecting a wode/wkf to a gamecube without soldering would be awesome

well...let's look at it like this: what was discovered? wiikey fusion working on gc. wode working on gc....do you really think that there won't be a solution to the connector problem soon?

I dunno. At first I thought it wont be any problems there. But then nothing happnened in weeks and all the mentioned connectors in the Drive replacement thread seemd to be not suitable...

My advice is:
A modified chip (WODE/Wiikey): for an easy installation in gamecube, perhaps without the need for solder, if possible.
Sorry for my english.

Man, I´ve been begging for a second patch since the first one was sold out before I got the money. Since there is actuallya lot more members than the time of the first batch, you are going to get a good $$$$

I was thinking about buying more parts, making myself a second homemade alternative and maybe selling a few homemade ones, but if these quality PCB's are going to be produced again then I wouldn't need to..
I would buy one.

i think there would be alot of interest in the IDE-EXI if it had DMA. i'm sure everyone here would choose the IDE-EXI adapter over the wiikey fusion or wode simply because it's a softmod and so much easier. and some people like me only have one gamecube and would rather not hardmod it.
btw is it possible to flash the existing IDE-EXI's to add support for DMA?

From looking at the pictures of the IDE-EXI I can see it has holes where you could connect a cable to re-flash the chip.
But I'm unsure how DMA works.

I would definitely buy one. 2 questions:
Will it possibly support DMA and/or audio streaming (either out of the box or via an upgrade later)?
Would you accept payment via Bitcoin? I really don't like PayPal; PayPal has fees while Bitcoin doesn't, and you can exchange Bitcoin for whatever currency you want.
Neither of these questions are dealbreakers, I just figured I'd ask.
