To answer your question, no. First because of the maximum amount of power the GC can feed into them, and also because of current/voltage drop over long wires. Especially with those very thin conductors that are FFC cables.
There is a limit on sd cards on wkf, which is 128gb I think. If you were to have multiple in you could use a switch to disable first sd card making the first wkf go into passthrough which will load the second wkf with another sd card. And so on. Making it an increase in capacity for every wkf.

Besides, following the law of electricity I'd go for wider cables (no need for ffc) which would decrease voltage drop (not sure about maximum current use, but the wkf doesn't use much compared to dvd drive so it's unlikely to be an issue. Short wires are also completely possible to do removing latency issues.

Of course it was completely hypothetical and horribly retarded. I tend to have those horribly retarded thoughts from time to time (quite often tbh).

would it not be easier to wire up SD cards and control which card gets power, then boot the console with that designated card??

Week this one is stating to feel like the ultimate gamecube. Lol for Me at least. Wkf + mega v4, SD gecko, mem card A soldered directly to main board, digital video cable, broadband adapter, color changing led, gameboy player with ez flash iv. Only thing I can think to better it is stuff that's out of production. Like ide-exi , mega audio that kind of stuff.

^That. Cheaper, easier and you don't get the lag you'd get with serializing wasps (yet another issue with long wires and traversing multiple nodes).

Decided I'd like to have internal SD gecko also. To slot is gecko bottom is wasp key fusion.

Thanks for the compliments. not copyrighted LOL. I'm going to try and rig up the original cover to fit again and open outward so it looks completely stock.

Just a question.
I thought that the SLOT-A was the one to keep as a memcard, because some games ask for this slot to save.
I was thinkig about doing this mod on the memcard SLOT-B.
Good or bad choice ?

The OP said he hardwired a memorycard to permanently be present in SLOT-A. Not sure where his SDGecko is going..

Speaking of which, it should be possible to wire an internal SD gecko to memcard slot 3.

Except it would be rather pointless, because games wouldn't look there for it.

Sorry I've done some searching but I can find no reference to a slot 3. does it really exist? if so if it was implimented in swiss it would be awesome to keep slot B open for a regular mem card.

My SD gecko is run from under the board slot B to the top. Long wires but I haven't noticed any real slow down.

I don't think there are issues with long wires on SD gecko.

Where can i procure a MegaDrive v4? I've got a wasp (actually 3) I'm wanting to install and can find the mega drive anywhere to be seen.

Does anyone know where i also can get my hands on an IDE-EXI? Would really love to hook a hdd up to my cube.

Thanks in advance,
Joel
