NES/SNES
Anyone still playing the 8/16-Bit Games?
Either Real Hardware or Emulation

Re: NES/SNES
Of course, I'm playing Super Mario RPG on a real Snes, have finished it once before on Snes9x. Also I have been trying to fix a Dreamcast and the disc that I was using to test it was NesterDC so I spent more time playing Nintendo games than actually looking at the issue
Re: NES/SNES
Been playing a lot of neo geo MVS lately, will always love the 8/16 bit era.
Re: NES/SNES
I've been playing a lot of N64/SNES lately, not much NES though I do have a lot of titles I need to play again.

Re: NES/SNES
As much as I love some of the newer/current generation of games, the 8/16 bit era will always be the best one to me (probably because this is what was available when I was a kid). I always end up going back for more, to re-play titles I've already completed and to explore titles I missed when I was a kid. I get a lot of retro gaming/emulation in on my OUYA and JXD handhelds these days. I just finished my umpteenth runthrough of the first 3 Ninja Gaiden games on the NES recently. Pure bliss.
Re: NES/SNES
Several weeks ago I was playing a TMNT and Tetris carts that my brother in law gifted me on my vations, and I am thinking on finishing NBA Jam T.E., also real hardware. In the other hand, do you know any way to fix NES dead cartriges? Man, I cry every time I see those classic NES games, some of them in great physical condition but do not work.
Re: NES/SNES
Clean the cartridge edge connector pins with a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol. If using a front loading NES, make sure you have a good-working 72 pin connector.

Re: NES/SNES
ragged quitted Ninja Gaiden after getting to the last boss twice. It is not fair at all.
Re: NES/SNES
Heh he I have done so and even opened the cartriges to clean them inside and no results, it seems the sulfate they had penetrated other circuits I cannot reach. About 72 pin connector I have the one inside the console that still works well, one for backup and another one sealed, but that is not the problem.emu_kidid wrote:Clean the cartridge edge connector pins with a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol. Re: NES/SNES
Can always try disabling the lockout chip in the console. That fixes alot of peoples issues.
