Force 480p PAL Without Qoob

My GC had a Qoob installed but it didn't work (normal boot + drive not spinning) so I bought a Viper Extreme.

Now the Qoob had a dedicated feature to force PAL games in 480p which Viper doesnt. Am I screwed? I dont feel buying a new Qoob since my experince so hasn't been good.

Swiss can force to 480p (as of SVN code) with the same if not better compatibility than the Qoob.

Swiss 0.3 which is going to be released shortly will be able to force 576p and also 16:9 too.

Wow. I did read about Swiss and it's feature but wasn't sure if it was considered better or worse than Qoob.

Thanks, I guess Swiss can be loaded onto the Viper GC Extreme?

yes, use the uncompressed swiss.dol and compress it with "dollz3 swiss.dol swiss-viper.dol -v -m", then you can flash it onto the viper extreme (but not as bios).
