Memory Card

The Gamecube has two slots for memory cards where game information is stored. A common memory card capacity is 59 blocks. Animal Crossing was shipped with one of these 59-block cards. 251 blocks is also common.

A block is 8192 bytes.

Some devices that are not memory cards can be inserted into the slots.
