Will a sunkey fusion work with megadrive v3? I found some of those and have a megadrive. Would love to hook up an SD.

Probably, but you will run into weird issues that have already been solved for WASP/WKF such as "lid" wiring and so on.

Despite fusion being in the name, it isn't a Wiikey Fusion clone or ODE. It's a Wii drive chip and a fusion of "Wii-Clip + D2Sun + Sunkey all-in-one" (Solderless clip + Solder chip + Solderless inline chip).
It's not what you want. The sundriver (ide/sata hdd wii ode) from them might work. If you find those in stock, you might want to do some digging in these forums as I believe someone tried it.
