Not sure if it's just me, but the Global and Individual Kart Motor Modifiers don't seem to work. In fact, many of the Motor related codes don't seem to work. Can someone confirm this? I'm nostalgic for the Peach/Yoshi Kart engine sound from Mario Kart 64 (and is reused for the Heart/Bloom Coach and Boo/Piranha Pipes) and would have liked to hear all the karts (or at least Turbo Yoshi/Birdo) with that sound.

@Yoshisaur: The Motor Modifier codes are tested on an actual GameCube and working fine. However, motors are for physical parameters only (like speed, acceleration etc.) and have nothing to do with engine sounds! There're only nine different engine sound types in the game (bound to the karts and not to the motors).

Ah, I see now. They are working as you intended, then. Not sure why my mind went to "Kart Motor Modifier changes the sound of the motor" instead of it referring to the stats. That's really useful! It also feels so great to play around with the engine sounds. Thanks for your hard work!

Before posting, I checked the PAL forum and noticed someone mentioned some of the quirks of the AI getting stuck on some courses/turns with the Auto Pilot codes. In response, you said "It is not possible to fix the "Auto Pilot" codes, the AI system isn't built to handle player karts." Does this mean that the Auto Pilot codes can't be realistically tweaked? I have an idea, but am not sure how feasible it is. From using the Auto Pilot codes, I've discovered two things that reveal you still have some form of control when the AI play.

1) You can still get rocket starts from the start line/when you land after Lakitu rescues you by pressing the accelerate button. (Not accelerating at all at the start line also shows that the AI have a delay before they take control)
2) You can stop the item roulette wheel faster by pressing the item button multiple times.

With this in mind, would it be possible/realistic to create a version of the code where the AI only drive and never use items themselves but the player(s) can activate their respective items? It could lead to a different way to play this game. It's OK if it's not possible, I'd rather know that then to always be left wondering. I hope I'm not being very demanding...

Nope, not possible. The AI item control functions (tons of them) are incompatible with the player item routines.

Is it possible to make a code that changes air speed? I'm using Ralf's speed modifier (which works perfectly) but I noticed every time I left the ground, I would lose all of my speed. Any fixes?

Hello, Ralf. I am looking at these codes and I gotta ask you plus give you an advice: Branching to a free area in the memory to put your code there is okay but takes much space - you can simply do a C2 instruction (INSERT ASM)

Here's an example:

This thread is for ACTION REPLAY codes only and not for WiiRD/Gecko codes. There's no C2 Action Replay code type to insert assembly instructions into a game. A correct C2 version of my Unchained Chain Chomp Speed Modifier code can be found in the WiiRD MKDD thread(s), btw.

Hi Ralf, I would have a request. Is it possible to make a code where we can change the color of the numbers in the rank indicator ? Like change the color of the first rank from Yellow to Silver.

The widescreen code still stretches the UI elements in the race. would it be possible to update the widescreen code to keep the Hud elements correct as well?
