So I've had plans to do this for a while, as I'm 95% sure its possible to do. I made a start today by pinning out the Wii's A/V Chip. I need to measure all the tiny components still and add values for them, if only for the sake of being thorough. There are only 2 pins on the chip that I'm unsure at this point where they go or what they do, but I'm pretty sure they're unused pins (or ideally, hidden H/V sync pins). I'll know better when I remove the chip and sand the board down.
Anyway, here's what I've got so far (I'll attach the paint.net file also):
Its not super pretty I know, but it gets the job done. There are just as many input traces on the Wii from the GPU to the A/V chip as there are on the GC to its A/V chip. I/We just need to figure out which signals are which.
Anyone who wants to join the fun is more than welcome.
